Salem has two main courts that generate public records. The Marion County Circuit Court is the primary trial court for all of Marion County. The Salem Municipal Court is at 1010 Union Street NE, Salem, OR 97301. It handles traffic violations, city ordinance violations, and misdemeanor crimes within the city of Salem. Court hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Municipal Court accepts online payments for many types of citations.

Marion County also has a Juvenile Department at 2970 Center St NE in Salem and a Criminal Court Annex at 4000 Aumsville Highway SE. All locations use the same mailing address.
